Machinist/Assembler

Job Summary
We are seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team at our gear pump manufacturing company.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform machining functions, as needed on a variety of metalworking machinery including engine lathes and mills
• Operate machine tools to produce precision shafts and parts
• Read blueprints and set up machinery as needed
• Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
• Capable of working alone or in teams, measuring ID and OD of mating parts, ensuring proper fit of complex assembled parts
• Rotate through tasks for specific production processes
• Prepare finished products for shipment
• Test completed equipment to detect and remove defects
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields
• Must be familiar and fluent with Non-CNC lathes, mills and other machinery
• Ability to program CNC equipment a plus
• Familiarity machine tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Capable of physically active work and the ability to handle physical workload
• Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
• Ability to work well in teams
