Operations Manager-Midwest Vertical Turbine Pump Repair Facility

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Midwest Vertical Turbine Pump Repair Facility located in Mellot, IN. In this position, you will oversee location performance and production in order to foster an efficient work environment. Strong interpersonal communication skills are a must, as you will supervise and train employees as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan and directly manage daily functions enabling efficient operations
• Manage communication between teams including managers, engineers, sales, and frontline staff
• Develop and enforce quality standards to eliminate defects
• Ensure strong vendor and supplier relationships to guarantee component supplies
• Optimize inventory management: balancing just-in-time stock vs buffers
• Oversee distribution logistics to satisfy inbound orders and deadlines
• Supervise maintenance and repair to maintain equipment uptime
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) in manufacturing administration, business management, or related.
• Understanding of consumer psychology and organizational behavior (required), and knowledge of the pump in industry (preferred)
• Can do attitude and an eagerness to do what it takes to complete daily tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership ability
• Outstanding organizational skills
