Each year, key personnel from Ruthman Companies’ divisions gather to review the successes of the previous year, share challenges, and prepare for continued growth. The two-day meeting, moderated by our National Sales Manager Dan Csomos, covers all operations areas: technology, production, sales, purchasing, human resources and marketing.
Thomas G. Ruthman, our Executive Vice President, kicked off the meeting with an opening keynote, focusing on the role a ‘culture of quality’ plays in positioning us for future growth. “Each person’s work ultimately impacts the products that end up in our customers’ hands,” he explained. “By being proactive and eliminating the need to chase mistakes, we can maintain our momentum.”
In addition to presentations on corporate initiatives and interactive brainstorming sessions, the Summit provided an opportunity to strengthen personal relationships.
Scott Thurrott, from our Great Southern Pumps sales and service division said, “While the engineering and technical content is of course beneficial, for me the facetime with the people that we rely on at the manufacturing and other service divisions is equally important. It’s so much easier to do business with people when you know them as a person.”
Mike Jones of Great Lakes Pump and Supply agreed, “I’m interested in the input from the managers on what they do at their divisions, to see what can applied in my own.”
“I also appreciate hearing Tom’s vision for the company moving forward,” Mike continued. “It helps put the work we do as a distribution and service center into context within the group.”
The group is now prepared to conquer 2019, leveraging our strengths and working together to overcome challenges.
