Job Summary
Ruthman Pump & Engineering has eight divisional brands that manufacture and sell industrial pumps and valves. Applications for our products range from wastewater and agriculture to automotive paint stations and alternative energy. We are hiring a talented Staff Accountant professional to join our head office team in West Chester, Ohio. As a multi-state, multi-national corporation, you will find a lot of day-to-day variety and challenges to develop your career skills. This position reports to our Corporate Controller and works closely with our divisional accounting teams.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Post daily Journal Entries for cash receipts and payments.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Perform month-end duties to aid in the preparation of Financial Statements and other financial reports.
- Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents, and receipts for all subsidiaries.
- Prepare schedules for year-end financial review with third party accounting firm.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales tax returns.
- Learn and manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable systems to obtain financial efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
- Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and work with team members to obtain financial efficiency.
- Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills
- Skilled using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems.
