Ruthmann Pumpen Ships Gusher Order for BMW UK

Close coupled pumps bound for engine building plant
Our German division Ruthmann Pumpen recently completed this order of Gusher CL-CC pumps for BMW’s Hams Hall engine building plant, located in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
The Hams Hall plant ships BMW TwinPower Turbo Gas engines to BMW and MINI model vehicle plants around the world. It prides itself on operational excellence and in particular its modern and high-tech machining halls. More than one engine per minute rolls off its production line. To accomplish this, over a million components are machined at the plant each year.
The 12 Gusher CL-CC Series pumps on this order were destined for new coolant cleaning systems being installed in the plant’s machining hall. The close-coupled horizontal pumps handle capacities to 5,000 gpm with pressures of up to 700’ TDH. Cast iron was selected for this application, but CL-CC pumps are also available in ductile iron, 316 stainless steel and specialty alloys upon request.
The order was part of an ongoing plant upgrade. Ruthmann Pumpen is also working with plant engineers to replace a number of currently installed pumps with Gusher models.
