Gusher Pump Eliminates Parts Washer Repair Headaches

OTP helps engine remanufacturing plant keep process running smoothly
When one of three parts washers at a large engine remanufacturing plant kept going down for repairs, plant engineering staff looked at what was different between their two reliable machines and the problem one. The difference? The pumps. The two continuously running machines ran on Gusher Pumps.
After the third pump rebuild in as many months, the decision was made to switch the problem pump out for a more reliable Gusher pump. Chad Bowen at Gusher distributor OTP Industrial Solutions helped the customer spec out a 7550 Series vertical end suction pump.
Designed specifically for heavy duty pumping services, the 7550 Series is ideal for dirty, hot parts washing applications. The all stainless 7550 easily handles 400 gallons of high grit wash fluid at pressures in excess of 100psi. The customer also added a soft start that allows them to control the motor speed when necessary.
The new Gusher pump has been in service now for several months without any downtime. The plant engineer described the pump’s performance as ‘exceptional’ and noted its quiet operation. Frequent pump failures and costly downtime have been eliminated.
